High Sensitivity & Neurodivergence

Experiencing the world more intensely

Some of us are more sensitive to the world around us. Sounds, smells, lights or busy environments might affect you strongly. You might be highly sensitive emotionally too — deeply affected by things you see, what happens around you, or the emotions of other people. Socialising, commuting and everyday life can sometimes feel exhausting.

Perhaps you think of yourself as a highly sensitive person (HSP), or maybe you’ve simply spent years wondering why things seem to affect you so much.

I don’t see sensitivity as something you need to get rid of. You don’t need a diagnosis or label for me to take your experience seriously. There can be space here for your sensitivity to simply be understood, rather than questioned or explained away.

Neurodivergence

So much of life can be spent masking, trying to function, or wondering why things seem to be harder for us than for other people. We can start to believe there's something wrong with us, rather than becoming curious about who we actually are.

I work with neurodivergent clients, including people with ADHD and dyslexia. My focus isn't on fixing your neurodivergence or teaching you how to function more like everyone else in short term therapies. I like to work by respecting and honouring your way of being, and the intricacy of your mind. Discovering together who you are, how you feel and what makes you come alive. —> Get started
