Relationship difficulties

Relationships can be difficult, even when you love each other and want things to work. You might keep having the same arguments, struggle to communicate without things becoming heated, or feel like your partner doesn’t listen to or understand what you’re trying to say. Maybe one of you wants more closeness while the other wants more space, or you find yourself holding things back because you’re worried about upsetting them or causing another argument.

Sometimes it’s difficult to know whether the problem is the relationship, the other person or you. Or maybe you don’t need to work anything out right now — you just want somewhere to let it all out, talk about what’s been happening and have someone really listen.

Every relationship has its own dynamic, and in therapy we can take the time to understand yours — what happens between you, how it affects you and what you want for yourself.
